Songtexte
I stood before the morning came No clock to mark, no voice to name The air was still, the light was thin A quiet space I wandered in No hands to guide, no steps to take No line ahead for me to break The world was there, but undefined A distant echo in my mind Nothing was lost, nothing was found No turning point, no solid ground Just something waiting, undefined A silent presence I could not bind I tried to measure what I saw But time refused to shape a law No past remained, no future grew Only a moment I once knew It didn’t move, it didn’t stay Yet somehow pulled my thoughts away A quiet force I couldn’t trace Still standing in that empty place Before there was time I was standing alone No sign of a beginning No place to be known Before there was time No reason to see That everything around me Was already in me I let the silence take its hold No need for answers to be told The world remained, but something changed The shape of everything rearranged Before there was time I was already there Not searching for meaning Just suddenly aware No start ever came No end ever will Only the feeling That everything is still
There was a pattern I almost saw A line that formed without a law It slipped away before it stayed A shape that never quite was made I stood and watched the moment bend It didn’t start, it didn’t end No signal came, no voice was clear Yet something told me it was here I tried to follow where it led But every step dissolved instead No path beneath, no sky above Just something still I couldn’t move The air was thick with something near A silent sound I couldn’t hear It stayed the same, it shifted too A broken line I wandered through No sequence No design No way to place it in a line No sequence No control It moves around but stays whole I let it go, I stopped the chase It settled in without a place No need to measure what it meant No sense of where the moment went There is no order left to see No separate parts, no you and me Only the space that will not choose Nothing to find Nothing to lose There was a pattern I almost knew It disappeared as I passed through
I felt the room go still somehow... Like something moved I couldn’t allow... I watched the moment hold its breath It hung suspended, close to death The glass reflected something strange A silent shift, a hidden change The light bent slowly in my view The air grew thick, the shadows grew I reached for something just the same But every answer slipped its name Too still... Too wide... I feel it... Inside... The sound was there but felt undone No place to start, nowhere to run It didn’t travel, didn’t fade Yet something new was being made It stayed in place but pulled away A turning wheel that would not sway The echo answered out of time Before the thought became a line I stood there still... But something moved... Nothing had changed... Yet all was proved... Nothing moves... Yet everything is...
No ending No arrival Still turning Still waiting No signal No answer It never came It never will No ending No arrival Still turning Standing still
Something remains But does not stay It does not leave It does not fade No shape returns No line appears No sense of distance No sense of years Still it is here Still it is near Without a form Without a clear I try to name it It slips the sound A presence felt But not held down Only this remains Only this remains Not before Not after Only here Only ever Only this remains Without a frame Without a name
I hear you there Somewhere close But not the same But not as one We speak in lines that never meet Different words, the same repeat I feel your voice inside the sound But still it moves, but still unbound Closer now I feel it near Every voice Becomes more clear Voices become one Voices become one No distance left between the sound No separate place where we are found One voice remains where many stood Not understood, but understood Voices become one Voices become one Only one remains
There was a space between us all A line that seemed to rise and fall A sense of distance I could feel A shape that never would reveal It fades again I feel it blend No near No end Nothing separates I hear the echoes overlap They fold into a single map What once was distant, far, apart Now gathers in a common start Nothing divides Nothing divides If there was ever space between It disappears where we have been No edge remains, no line to find Only the whole, no yours or mine
There is no distance left to see No line between the world and me No sound that calls from far away No need for time to mark the day It all remains, it does not move No shape to question or to prove The air is clear, the weight is gone No sense of right, no sense of wrong Everything is Everything stays No past behind No future ahead No path to follow No words unsaid All things together No divide remains No loss, no distance No separate planes Everything is here at once
