About the Album

Vörak — The Kobaïan Codex is a full-length instrumental progressive rock concept album by RetroForge. Its fourteen tracks follow the rise and total collapse of an alien civilisation, moving from tribal ceremony through mechanical empire to silence and signal drift.

The album moves through Zeuhl, instrumental progressive rock and cosmic progressive rock. Its instrumentation combines fretless bass, Mellotron, Hammond organ, Minimoog, Rhodes electric piano, Farfisa organ and live drums. The atmosphere is dark, mechanical, hypnotic, collapsing and vast.

Archive note: 1976 is the album’s fictional period setting within the RetroForge timeline. The real-world RetroForge release was published on 9 June 2026.
